Bastrop County participates in the Emergency
Notification Service (ENS) hosted by the Capital
Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG). ENS uses
the 9-1-1 database to contact people in the event
of an emergency. All land-lines in Bastrop County
are automatically included in the 9-1-1 database;
however, wireless/mobile phone numbers are not
in the database unless they have been added by
their users. ENS and the POA encourage TV
Residents to register their mobile numbers. The
registration process is simple and web-based.

been trained to the satisfaction of the
ACC/POA Boards.
